Sony Colour Headphones
Sony was not exactly known for its cool audio products. So what do you do when you’re asked to promote a new line of headphones based on how cool they look?
Luckily the headphones were legitimately good looking, so our task became to get out of the product’s way. Rather than dress up a bunch of good-looking models in colourful outfits, we decided to let the headphones be the stars, giving them a “blank canvas” to work with.
With a very small budget to work with, an agency was out of the question. Using a combination of freelance creatives and my internal staff, we produced a campaign – including an online video and 6 high-quality still images that highlighted each colour, on a fraction of a normal budget.
